Boat Tour – starts 9:00 AM
This 2-hour Cambridge boat tour is on the skipjack Nathan, originating from Long Wharf at the Cambridge dock and includes a trip up Cambridge Creek and a short experience out in the Choptank River. The tour will be conducted by John Creighton.
Blackwater Underground Railroad Nature Bicycle Tour – starts 9:00 AM
This 2-hour guided bicycle tour starts at the Bucktown Village Store and visits several historic sites and ends at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. Transportation back to your car will be provided. Please wear appropriate shoes for biking. The fees include your guide, bike, helmet, and bottled water.
University of Maryland Eastern Shore Bus Tour – starts 10:30 AM
This bus tour starts at the Harriet Tubman Museum and travels to the UMES campus at Princess Anne, Maryland, in Somerset County. UMES will be the subject of a conference workshop concerning the institution’s history and connection with the Delaware Conference.
Guided Bus Tour to Caroline County – starts 1:00 PM
This 2-3 hour bus tour begins at the Harriet Tubman Museum and continues to historic sites in Caroline County, including Linchester Mill, the Webb Cabin and more. Anthony Cohen will be the guide for this tour and discuss sites in Caroline County pertaining to Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad.
Stewarts Canal Underground Railroad Nature Kayak Tour1 – starts 1:00 PM
This 2 tour explores the canal dug by slaves and it is believed that Harriet Tubman and her father Ben Ross helped in its creation. Tour starts at the Bucktown Village Store. Transportation to and from the canal is provided. Sunscreen and hats are suggested. The cost is $70 per person. Fees include your guide, kayak, life jacket, paddle, and bottled water.
Guided Bus Tour, Bucktown Area – starts 1:30 PM
This 2-3 hour bus tour begins at the Harriet Tubman Museum and will visit Bucktown and other sites and be guided by Royce Sampson of the Harriet Tubman Organization and Choptank Region History Network
Civil Rights Walking Tour – starts 5:00 PM
This one-two hour walking tour will be led by Bill Jarmon who will point out downtown Cambridge sites and describe events of Cambridge during the 1960s Civil Rights period.

Guided Bus Tour – 8:45-11:00 AM
This 2-hour tour, guided by Dr. Kate Clifford Larson, will cover the Cambridge to greater Madison area, featuring Harriet Tubman’s presumed birthsite and the dramatic escapes of scores of individuals along a complex and powerful highway to freedom.
Freedom Quest -- Blackwater Paddle & Pedal Adventures Tours
BPPA will be offering a guided bike & kayak tour in conjunction with the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Conference. Freedom Quest – Dorchester County’s most famous resident Harriet Tubman fled from the control of her owners only to return on repeated expeditions to bring liberty to her family and others. See the Underground Railroad for yourself in the most unchanged county in the state today. Explore the landscape, the people, and the extraordinary life of the woman called “Moses.” With the aid of a National Parks Service UGRR certified guide you will journey to the places momentous in her time here from her birth to a young adult. No experience necessary, all tours are geared to the general public, not athletes. Please wear appropriate shoes and clothing.
